Richard leads business and venture development across the group. A serial entrepreneur with over 25 years' experience, he has founded and exited tech and telecom companies across Europe and emerging markets. He identifies and builds new ventures, forges commercial and strategic partnerships, and opens markets across Europe, East Africa, and offshore centers — turning early-stage opportunities into operating businesses and cultivating the relationships that drive Eferio's growth.

James Martin

Co-Founder and Partner

James leads program management and operational scaling. With transformation leadership at Johnson Matthey and EY in Denmark, he has managed complex projects worth over £200 million and brings a performance culture rooted in his background as a professional athlete. He implements agile delivery, standardizes operations with SOPs, and chairs Eferio's operations committee to maintain quality and reliability as the group scales.

Jørgen Gransøe

Co-Founder and Partner

Jørgen architects Eferio's legal and governance frameworks. With McKinsey experience and as a founder of a Nordic venture capital firm, he combines strategy with rigorous risk management. He designed the group's holding and subsidiary structure for compliance across African jurisdictions, leads licensing and permitting, and heads up fundraising, leading the work to build the Eferio Fund.

Andreas Fruhen

Senior Advisor, Architecture

Andreas leads IT and platform architecture across the group, from content ingestion and scheduling to the user app and analytics. With 17 years in scalable infrastructure and experience overseeing multi-country mobile money at Vodafone, he standardizes robust systems across Eferio's markets and verticals, embeds GDPR-aligned cybersecurity and data protection, and applies TOGAF-aligned modular architecture for smooth multi-country scale.

Stefan Ahlén

Co-Founder and Partner | Business Development

Stefan drives business development across the group. As co-founder of Dahl Mobile, he scaled a €30 million hardware business focused on eco-friendly 5G devices. He shapes Eferio's device roadmap, including solar-capable receivers, brokers chipset and OEM commitments, and builds distribution channels and commercial partnerships to reach remote communities, targeting sub-$20 unit costs.

Robert Gathu

Senior Advisor, Technology

Robert leads network design and deployment across the group. With 40 years in East African telecom at Telkom Kenya and Safaricom — 35 of them spent working across Africa — he has delivered networks for underserved areas and pioneered AI-driven spectrum optimization. He designs Eferio's hybrid network, integrating 5G broadcast with satellite backup, advances SFN experimentation, and oversees all regulatory matters and licensing, liaising with regulators and tower owners to ensure reliability and performance.

Jonas Hyltén

Senior Advisor, Fundraising & Networking

Jonas leads capital execution mandates in private equity, serving as the bridge between institutional investors and high-performance strategies. He drives institutional-grade fundraising and LP alignment through proprietary execution systems, connecting Eferio with the capital networks needed to fund its growth.

Andreas is an entrepreneur transforming Africa's energy landscape through sustainable innovation and circular investment. With a foundation in electrical engineering and renewable energy, he brings over a decade of hands-on experience in power systems and energy installations, infusing a distinctive Nordic touch drawn from projects across the Nordics and the Balkans. Now based in Kenya, he oversees Munja Group's operations on the ground, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of technical precision and social responsibility.
